Led by Passionate Experts

At Tiny Paws Pug Rescue (TPPR), we believe every pug deserves a second chance. Since our founding in December 2016, we've operated as a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming pugs and pug mixes in need. We also work closely with other like-minded organizations that promote animal rescue, responsible pet ownership, and adoption awareness.

Adopt One, Save Two

Every adoption creates space in our foster homes, allowing us to say yes to another pug waiting for help. When you adopt from TPPR, you aren’t just saving one life—you’re saving two.

Our Rescue Model

TPPR is a home-based foster rescue, which means every dog in our care lives in a loving home—not a kennel—while awaiting adoption. This environment helps them adjust to family life and gives us insight into their personalities and needs.

Our all-volunteer team is the heart of our rescue. These passionate individuals:

  • To monitor online platform and shelters
  • Accept owner surrenders from families who, often through no fault of their own, can no longer care for their pets
  • Provide transportation, medical care coordination, and foster placement
  • Promote adoptable dogs and conduct thorough screening to ensure the best match for each pup

Our Impact

Entering our 10th year, TPPR has transformed the lives of more than 1,500 pugs and pug mixes. From seniors in need of hospice care to young pups facing abandonment, we’ve been there to provide compassion, care, and a fresh start. These dogs are more than pets—they're companions, healers, and cherished family members. We’re honored to be a bridge to their second chance.
