Owner Surrender

It is a very hard decision to make and even harder to actually do – but sometimes things just don’t work out. We are here to help by taking care of and finding a new loving forever home for your pug – no matter what the circumstances. Or, if you have found a stray or injured pug, we can take it in and get it immediate medical care and find it a home.

Adopting With Tiny Paws

Complete and submit an adoption application. There is a $25.00 fee. You will be contacted by a team member for a video interview to determine what dog would do best in your environment considering your home, children, adults, other pets.

After you have become an approved adopter, when you see a dog you are interested in, we will arrange a meet and greet at one of our adoption events, or another location. We suggest you follow us on Facebook and Instagram, because often dogs are shown there prior to being on the website.

Adoption paperwork is finalized, adoption fees are paid, and you take your new family member home.

ADOPTION PROCESS FAQS

If you are interested in adopting a pug, please apply to start the process!

  • What's the price range for dogs available for adoption?

Dog prices vary and range from $300-$1200. Please inquire about the dog you are interested in adopting for a more specific number.

Pricing may vary due to the individual dog’s needs upon arrival to us, their age, and their breed (French Bulldogs are $1,000+ typically)

  • Do adoption fees cover all necessary care

All adoption fees include well-care checkup, spay/neuter, vaccinations (DHPP or DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella) and a microchip.

  • Do puppies come with microchips and initial vaccinations?

Puppies are available for adoption after receiving the second in a series of puppy vaccines. All puppies are microchipped and a spay/neuter agreement will be required at the time of adoption.

  • Do you offer a return policy after adopting a dog?

If your circumstance no longer allows for you to care for your adopted TPPR dog, we will take back the dog immediately with no judgment and no questions. Also, part of our adoption contract includes that you agree to not sell, trade, or give away this animal but in turn, return it to the rescue.

We expect you to contact us immediately if you can no longer care for this animal.

Thank you for considering adopting!

Donations and adoption donations are not refundable.

Happy Tails

Hercules Happy Tail >> Hercules came to us last summer from the Central Valley. He was kept outside, not socialized and underweight. This poor guy came in shy and unsure of what it meant to be inside a home and cuddled. Our fosters spent months with him, getting him to open up and accept love and not be terrified of strangers. He went through a few foster homes since he was with us for so long but everyone added a piece to his story.

Happy Tails to Parker. Max had been asking for a pug for quite sometime. He saw a Pug-o-Ween flyer and suggested his parents go to see the pugs as he was working. On the way to the event Mom said she wasn’t bringing a pug home. She came to the adoption area to ask questions and see the available pugs. A volunteer asked her if she wanted to hold Parker, she knew he was the one for them, with her husband facing health challenges in the coming months; she knew Parker would be a great source of healing for the family. Max got his pug, Parker found a forever home and Dad has a comforter. It’s awesome when things fall into place, thank you for giving Parker a home and for fulling a son’s wish.

At Pug-O-Ween we made a love match and Jackson was adopted by Camille and Wael💕. This guy is what we think is a dachshund and pug mix and was a combination of the 2 dogs they wanted! Happy Tails to the new family #tinypawspugrescue

When Astro came to us in early August he had been hit by a car with a fractured femur and pelvis. He had surgery with his leg pinned for 8 weeks to heal and a week ago he got the pin out. Friday he met his new family and went home to Nevada. This little guy remained so sweet thru it all in true pug fashion💕 #tinypawspugrescue
